T2M Pic du Midi et NARVAL

Description The Telescope Bernard Lyot is the largest telescope in France (2m, Pic du Midi). It serves the community of French and European astronomers by housing a unique instrument: the echelle spectropolarimeter Narval (R=65000, range 370-1000nm), dedicated to the measurement of stellar magnetic fields. In operation since 2007, Narval has already enabled the publication of more then a hundred of scientific papers highly ranked and cited by the international community of stellar astrophysicists. TBL offers 240 nights/year, regularly showing an observed pressure of > 2.
