| Description | The International Continental Scientific Drilling Program, ICDP is a multinational research program designed to promote and coordinate continental drilling projects with a variety of scientific objectives at drill sites of global geoscientific significance. International teams of scientists are invited to submit project proposals to ICDP for financial and logistical support of drilling operations. ICDP provides funding for high-priority projects which critically need drilling as a tool. After more than 15 years of operations, 28 drilling projects on five continents have been completed and several others are planned. |
