| Description | The SALINA platform acts as a demonstrator for NGN, integrating developments made by PTIN in the area, being operated and supported as a real production platform. It is open to external entities, which may instantiate their own components and try them in real environment. It is built around an IMS core, with internal and Internet accesses via an industry SBC. MGCF/MGW establish the interworking with legacy networks. During 2013 the platform is being upgraded, increasing its capacity and functionality. New access networks will be added like LTE/EPC, with QoS. |
