| Description | The Nordic Optical Telescope is a state-of-the-art 2.56m optical/near-IR telescope installed in 1989 at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on the island of La Palma, Canarias, Spain. It is owned and operated by the NOT Scientific Association (NOTSA), a consortium of the natural science Research Councils or equivalent in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden and the University of Iceland.
