Description | The mission of the Hungarian Genomics Research Network is the establishment and development of genomic technologies in Hungary; the integration of research centres/universities, enterprises focusing on bioinformatics, biotech companies and pharma companies in a network to facilitate participation in joint projects and research collaborations; ensuring the optimal usage of high value genomic infrastructure; facilitating the spread of genomics based research; mediating the development and expansion of bioinformatics in R&D projects. The Coordinator of the NEKIFUT Genomics Network is the Centre for Clinical Genomics (Debrecen), the network manager is Laszlo Nagy. Currently, 10 research infrastructures are involved in the network: • University of Debrecen - Medical and Health Science Center, Center for Clinical Genomics and Personalized Medicine - operator of a microarray core facility, a high throughput qPCR core facilty, a Next generation sequencing core fac. and a biobanking core fac. • Semmelweis University as operator of a microarray core facility - Comparative genome hybridization - Expression core facility research infrastructure • Agricultural Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as operator of the Functional Plant Genomics and Plant Cell Biology Laboratory research infrastructure. • Bay-Gen Institute as operator of New Generation Sequencing research infrastructure • KPS Ltd. as operator of Roche Genome Sequencer FLX System research infrastructure. • Biological Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as operator of the DNA-chip Laboratory and the BioRobotics Microgrid Total Array System research infrastructure. • Semmelweis University as operator of the Applied Biosystem 7900HT High Through-put Real Time PCR system and the Genomic SNP Core Facility research infrastructure. • Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE), Department of Measurement and Information Technology as operator of the Research Planning and Data Analysis System of Genomics infrastructure • Biological Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as operator of the MisPred Laboratory of Genomics research infrastructure. • University of Debrecen - Medical and Health Science Centre as operator of the European Molecular Biology Network, Hungarian Node research infrastructure. • Astrid Research Inc. as operator of the Orthology Promoter Database research infrastructure. |
