Flexible Heliac TJ-II

Description The flexible heliac TJ-II is a plasma physics device oriented to Fusion Energy research. The heliac, from "helical axis" is a "stelllarator" device, ewhich differs from the mainline "tokamaks" in the way the cvonfining magnetic configuration is achieved. TJ-Ii is a mid size device, with a major radious of 4,5 m , a minor radius of 0,2 m and a magnetic field of 1 Tesla. It is located at CIEMAT, national centre for energy and environment research and operates in the framework of the Contract of association with EURATOM. This RI is an ICTS (Unique Scientific and Technological Infrastructure), included in the Spanish National Roadmap for RIs.
